Today will be remembered as one of the saddest days in my blessed life so far. My grandfather just passed away and before I heard that sad news, I saw this article about a college student who committed suicide after reading a book by the famous atheist Richard Dawkins called "The God Delusion."I remember when I first saw the book, I had the sick-to-the-stomach kind of feeling much like when I first saw a copy of the much controversial Japanese book called "The Complete Manual of Suicide" (pictured below). I feared for the day when something like this would happen.
However, when my pastor in Oregon and I decided to do a 2-part series on Creation, evolution and the Bible, my intent was only to warn people of the scoffers that are coming their way lest their worshipful attitudes toward our Creator be influenced by scoffers (I have just decided to post the audio for these sermons). I did not have in my mind to warn people of losing their faith completely when they encountered evolution-worshiping atheists. The apostle Peter, knowing that creation-denying scoffers will come in the last days, said thus in the Holy writ:
This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: (2Peter 3:1-5, KJV)
We must know that we will encounter scoffers in the form of a debate-hungry person, a book, a class, etc. Without that the knowledge that we will face them, when we do run into scoffers, we will be easier prey. Even if we don't get converted to atheists, our faith can be negatively influenced. Peter says that in order for us to mindful of the Word of God, we need to be mentally and spiritually alert, knowing that scoffers are coming our way because we ARE in the last days.
Thank and praise the Lord for his power and grace! He will guide and protect us as we trust him as our Shepard. Let us in these last days be ever more mindful of His word. Amen.

What silly comments you make. You seem to imply that Dawkins is responsible because someone killed himself.
How about those who beat children to death and quote the Bible about sparing the rod? How about those who assault gay people and mention the Bible says homosexuals are worth of death?
Many suicidal people read the Bible before killing themselves? Some just take baths. Does that make the Bible response, or them taking a bath.
Pathetic logic in this post, really pathetic. Very infantile actually.
