USA VictoryWe've all heard the news that there are insurgents attacking US and NATO troops in Afghanistan. There is an article by World Net Daily that the British intelligence reported that the current strategy deployed in Afghanistan will not lead to victory. The report says further that the best that we can hope for is for the insurgency activity to drop to a level manageable by the Afghan government. Why? Insurgents seem to have unlimited supply of new man-power.

In the World War II, the enemies (Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, and Fascist Italy) were just as determined and radical as today's Islamic insurgents in the Middle East. Yet, the progress of the war could be measured in a simple way; the more battles we won, the closer we were to the end of the war. It does not seem that way in the current war in Afghanistan.
The difference between the two wars is that in WWII, most of the people who fought on the Axis side did not have any more profound reason for the war than simply that their evil government told them to fight. Sure, a lot of them were brainwashed by the government propaganda so that they believed in the evil cause to some extent. But such belief did not have deep roots in the people's hearts. As such, when their governments collapsed in the course of the war, they simply gave up the evil cause they were going along with (ie, Nazism, imperialism, and fascism).

Behead those who insult Islam However, today the Afghan insurgents have motivation that have very deep roots in their hearts; their religion. Islam is a religion of violence. If you have not been brainwashed by the politically correct media, you shouldn't need any convincing on my part to be convinced of that fact. But just in case, here are a few verses from the Qu'ran, the writings that you must follow if you are to be a non-heretical Muslim.
"Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)
"Fight against such as those to whom the Scriptures were given [Jews and Christians]...until they pay tribute out of hand and are utterly subdued." (Surah 9:27-)
"Now when you meet the unbelievers, smite their necks until you overcome them fully..." (Surah 47:4).
"O Prophet! Strive hard (lit., make "jihad") against the unbelievers and the hypocrites and be adamant with them... " (Surah 66:73).
"Slay the pagans wherever you may come upon them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and lie in wait for them at every conceivable place..." (Surah 9:5).
The Qu'ran is an unorganized collection of writings that are supposedly written by the so-called prophet Muhammad or his close associates. But because these writings are not God-inspired (unlike the Bible), there are many contradictions within the Qu'ran. In fact, earlier in the book, there are some peaceful verses.
"...but do not commit aggression, for verily, God does not love aggressors." (Surah 2:190)
However, the rule of thumb in reading the Qu'ran is to follow the later revelation if the earlier revelation contradicts the later one.
"And when We put a revelation in place of (another) revelation, - and Allah knoweth best what He revealeth- they say: Lo! thou art but inventing. Most of them know not." (an-Nahl 16:101)
"Nothing of our revelation (even a single verse) do we abrogate or cause be forgotten, but we bring (in place) one better or the like thereof. Knowest thou not that Allah is Able to do all things ?" (al-Baqarah 2:106)
And it so happens that those violent verses are the later revelations. Thus, if you are to be a good Muslim, you must follow those violent verses. And this is the problem with the Afghan war. There seems to an unlimited new recruits on the insurgents' side because of their religion. However, due to political correctness requirement in the government and in the press, the real war between Islam and Truth has not been waged. We cannot win this war without attacking the root cause; Islam. And I mean Islam and not "radical Islam." Those suicide bombers and insurgents attacking the US and NATO troops are not "radical" Islam; they are the orthodox Islam.

How can we best wage war on the religion of Islam? Through the preaching of the Gospel. We who believe in Jesus must have compassion for those who are trapped in the religion of Islam. They truly are in bondage to this hoax. They just happen to be born in the part of the world where that bondage is rampant. We must never have any bitter feelings against them, but have hearts of compassion that lead to prayers that they too will believe in the Truth and to come to Jesus in repentance as we have.

I am not a USA citizen and so I will never be the president of this country. But if I was in the White House, the following policies would be added to the current strategy to win the war in Afghanistan.
  1. Deploy all available personnel in Bible-believing churches in Afghanistan to preach the Gospel.
  2. Spread Gospel tracks in the WWII propaganda style (ie, pamphlets from the bombers).
  3. Call on all Christian citizens to pray for Muslims in the region.
  4. Financially and materially support those who denounce Islam in the region.

God bless the Muslim people and may He grant them repentance to life in the name of Jesus. Amen.
