My fume hoodI am saddened to report that a fellow chemist has died from the injuries she suffered from an accident involving a commonly used reagent in a chemistry lab at UCLA. The reagent is called t-butyllithium and I have used it several times before myself. It is so reactive with water that it reacts with trace moisture in the air, and that reaction being so exothermic, it spontaneously ignites. Read the rest of this entry »

Happy new year to you all.

To start off this year, here's an interesting thought:
The only people that have ever made contributions to pro-murder (pro-abortion) policies are the people who were not aborted.

Despite him being ineligible under the US constitution, Mr. Obama has been sworn in as the POTUS. So he really isn't the POTUS legally, but that aside, here is a great pro-life ad from the Catholics.

Yes, every life is precious and has great potential. For we have been created in the image of God.
